Starting on Wednesday, July 8 2020, all TransUnion tenant-screening inquiries will result in a âsoftâ inquiry instead of a âhardâ inquiry. Soft inquiries donât affect a consumerâs credit score, which means they can now apply to be screened without a hard inquiryâs potential negative impact on their credit report.
